has visited africa before. there was no reason to believe she's contracted ebola. they believe the unidentified woman experienced air-sickness. nurses on the front line say they need more training to deal with ebola. especially after a recent scare at a south sacramento kaiser hospital, where a patient with ebola symptoms sat in an emergency room for nearly two hours, that turned out to be a false alarm, but kron 4's alecia says next time, nurses want to be better prepared. if an ebola infected patient walks into this hospital, nurses here don't believe they have sufficient training to handle it safely. sot - this is a virus that is changing very quickly and we want to have the most optimal protection. sot - caregivers that aren't being adequately trained are being blamed. we're hearing that they aren't following protocol, throughout the country for survey, 85-percent of nurses say their education on ebola where they can interact and ask questions. and 76-percent claim their hospital has not disclosed any guidelines of admitting ebola infected patients sot - it makes me very angry

one man is dead after he was swept out to sea with another man in the marin headlands this afternoon. it happened just before 12-30 at rodeo beach. coast guard officials say the men had been fishing. when they were swept off the rocks by a large "sneaker" wave. one of the victims managed to climb back onto some rocks. and is in good condition. a helicopter crew was able to locate the second man. emergency responders performed c-p-r on him. but later died after returning to shore. a high surf warning is in effect at numerous bay area beaches this weekend. large surf and strong rip currents are expected to continue through the night. a 2-year-old girl is on life support after falling into a

swimming pool in vallejo. officials say the girl was found unconscious and not breathing in the backyard pool.shortly before 11-30 this morning. they say her parents were inside the home with other family members during the time of the accident. nearly a dozen passengers injured tonight after a ferry boat accident at pier 41 in san francisco. a blue and gold fleet ferry called the "peralta" struck the side of the pier.around five this afternoon. the coast guard says 10 people were hurt.with neck and head injuries.and whiplash and minor cuts. the accident caused some cosmetic damage to the boat. and at this point. the cause of the accident is still under investigation. one more time.the navy's blue angels rocked the sky above san francisco. dazzling thousands who lined the waterfront to watch the precision team fly their f-a- 18 hornet jets. today was the finale for the

the city of wasco says they have some mischievous clowns on their hands. these pictures were posted on what is believed to be the clown's twitter page. police say they've gotten a number of calls about the clowns. one report says it was holding a gun. all of the reports have come after dark. and as you can see in these pictures they sure are getting around. police say they've made arrested one minor who admitted to chasing people as the clown. but the tweets continue with one just a few hours ago. officials on the peninsula cracking down on underage drinking.what one person killed.others injured by a train in southern california.what they were doing when they were caught on the tracks. insurance companies are spending millions of dollars

three of them were struck. one woman died at the scene. a male and second female were taken to the hospital with injuries. the fourth person was not hurt. the minimum wage in mountain view is on it's way up. the city council approved the increase to ten-thirty an hour on thursday. but they also voted to raise minimum wage to fifteen dollars an hour. by twenty-eighteen. california's current minimum wage is nine dollars. that will rise to ten in twenty-sixteen. police in daly city say they're cracking down on underage drinking. and the city council may approve a new law that allows police to fine the hosts of house parties. this would be in cases where there is drinking or unruliness. the fine would be fifteen- hundred dollars for the first offense. but the second time it bumps up to two-thousand dollars. the city council is set to vote tomorrow.

but san francisco tops highest with two-ninety-three. protests continue in saint louis over the shootings of black teens by white officers. last night at a protest in front of a gas station. police say that protestors were they also say they demonstrators were throwing rocks at officers. to property in this protest. activists are planning a big push tomorrow as part of their ferguson october movement. there's an investigation underway in maine after a halloween-themed hayride turned deadly. it happened during a night ride at a family-owned farm saturday.authorities say the jeep haulingthe accident left a 17-year-old girl dead and nearly two dozen others injured. a company spokesman says the owners are taking the accident seriously. : "i can tell you that it's really affected the owners a tremendous amount. they have kids that age. so it's, like i said, it really hits home, very much hits home." investigators believe the truck had a mechanical faliure that caused it not to stop. the victims range from ten to fifty years old. a federal judge in alaska is striking down their gay marriage ban. the judge says that the ban the state could appeal in the ninth circuit court. but experts say their chance of winning is slim. five same-sex couples in alaska
